Fun Friday
Shirt Painting
Thanks to Auntie Ashey, we have lots of things to paint, including a shirt. This will be a nice option for an apron when using the easel. If it gets paint on it, o well, it will only add to it's beauty.

Make Something Monday

Today I made a little kitchen set out of boxes for my daughter. It was sort of "test" project, because eventually I would like to make her a nice set. I just threw this together to not only see if I could do it, and to use some boxes up, but also to see if she would even play with it.
I made my basic cuts before I decorated the boxes just to make sure it would all work out before I put too much effort into the project. Then I wrapped them with wrapping paper and sharpie-ed some burners and knobs on it. I also made some handles out of the extra cardboard pieces I had.

One of my red mixing bowls made a great sink, and she already has small saucepans of her own to use. Tomorrow we will bake some cookies with it and see if she is interested. She likes to make me soup so I don't have much doubt about it being used.

I should have spray painted the boxes instead of wrapping them, because she thought they were presents and tried to unwrap them. Hopefully, I can get the motivation to build nice ones out of real furniture for her toddler room when the time comes. This will do for now though.

Week #2
Week #2
Morning Routine Pt. 2
Adding some extras:
Making tea/coffee ( A friend of ours got us a coffee press, I love it)
15-20 Min. of Morning Yoga
Put dishes away
Things are going alright, I probably should have started with bedtime routine before the morning routine. I find that when things are nice and tidy and set for the next day the night before, the mornings are so much better and it is easier to get out of bed. Bedtime routine will be next week. I have also started some big organizational projects. Normally, I do the main common rooms of the house and all of the clutter just moves to my bedroom and stays there because no one can see it. This time I started in my own closet and worked out into my bathroom. I went through all of the drawers and cabinets and de-cluttered. I even got rid of some clothes that I either had thrown away or put in "donate" bag. I feel a bit better about getting ready for the day in an organized bathroom.

My Two Year Old
I honestly can not believe my baby is two already. She had her birthday last month. I feel like it just flew by, but on the other hand, I can't imagine life without her. She has become so talented in all she does. We are trying out her new paint pens today. They are much easy then an actually paintbrush and paint, but I don't think they could replace it.
I love the intensity in her eyes when she is really concentrating. She takes a lot of pride in her art, and I love that about her. I hope her confidence stays with her throughout life. I already know she will do big things.

A Plan Week #1
I am sure you are already tired of me complaining about a lack of motivation, schedules, blah blah blah. Trust me, I am tired of hearing myself think about it, but what better time then the first day of the new year to start something new.
I am changing my approach. Being a mother of a toddler, I know the importance of a well maintained schedule to keep people happy. I've struggled with creating schedule after schedule for myself and not even sticking to it for a day. So I am starting small and using this blog to hold myself accountable. Some of this stuff I already do, but it doesn't hurt to enforce it. Just bare with me.
The plan is to work on one small thing per week so it is easier to stick to. I also plan on having some fun things most days to try and keep this blog at least a little more interesting.
Week #1 Morning Routine pt. 1
Wake at 7:00
Make bed
Shower/Brush teeth
Get dressed (including shoes so I am less likely to be lazy)
Put In a load of laundry
